#kembaracintasemusimdiNetherlands

Goedemorgen!

It is now Autumn here. Early of the month was freakingly cold, 0 and 1 degree but now is getting a bit hotter to 8 -15 degree.

Being a student mommy, never been easy, as expected. But we are adapting well, InsyaALLAH.

Leaving abroad make us longing more for our loved ones - parents, siblings, cousins, friends and Malaysia - hot and sunny (not the haze), fooooods!!! Well, this journey of seeking knowledge thought us more about love - between us and our surrounding. But afterall, the Netherlands are warm people. They welcomed others and treat us equally. Greeted us everytime we met, either in Dutch or Indonesian language. One thing that for sure need to be instilled in our culture. #kembaracintasemusimdiNetherlands

From the day that I knew I am going abroad for my Msc, I started contacted 'potential' friends who were already there. One of them, is Nadiah Sidek, who blogged about her while while in Nebraska, Lincoln, USA. One thing I learned from here, "Adat perantau, kawan-kawanlah yang akan bantu sebab saudara mara mana jauh". Alhamdulillah, we met a bunch of nice people in Wageningen, who is willingly to help from scratch.

Makan-makan event is almost every alternate week, despite of the busy schedule of studying, we managed to get together, relieving stress,  socializing and catching up with friends and eating varieties of Malaysian foooooood!

During one the first gathering that we managed to join - AidilAdha yang terlambat
Balik makan, pow Chicky!

Our first AidilAdha abroad
The food - nangka curd, ony in Holland!

Alhamdulillah..

We are now officially airing from the Netherlands. Mama is going back to school, weehuuu!!
After very looooooooooong hiatus (10 years after graduated from bachelor's degree).
Anyway, amonth has gone, another 23 months to go.

We are doing fine. Adapting to the weather were hard, because they have rain just as much as we have, added with the wind, its very chilly here!

Her common face when I asked to smile, haishhh

March Ramblings

Wake up early..while waiting for Subuh, I planned to write here, yess it has been quite sometimes I do not update. Frankly, too much to tell, yet everytime felt like too little time. I guess the instant and ease of fb allow people write more on the status rather than in the blog nowadays..

Life is wonderful, alhamdulillah. Of course there is always ups n downs, topsy turvy here and there. Friends that seems distant, are actually close, thanx for the existence of whatsapp! But, we hardly can make time for ourselves, as bigger commitment lies ahead. Maybe sometimes in future..yeah, i do miss them a lot!!!

Nayra is growing..healthily and beautifully, how time flies! She was born small, and in a blink of eyes, she is catching up her second birthday! Ya ALLAH, seriously, I never thought it will be this soon..She's getting talkative, mimicking every word that she found interesting..and still sucking me for her milk 😉
We will try to wean her off after she's two..

My anak dara and her favourite sister

Wahid's the third - Nayra and her cousins (as of now 😁)
