"Ada gelek, ada goyang.."

Hi!

Sounds fishy, huh? Ahha..saje.

Mei and June was away finally. Apart from difficulties in friendster blogs the other day, I was actually attacked by the "o" syndrome. Occupied =) Another excuses for not updating blog.

It has been such a long months. We were busily involved in exhibitions. 15 Mei -15 Jun was Bulan Teknologi Pertanian and soon before the events ended, they hastily announced on 15 June that 15 June to 15 July is Bulan Industri Asas Tani. phewww! Obligated as 'saya yang menurut perintah', so what else can you say, huh?

Then, we have Karnival Sukan Tani on 20-22 June 2009. I participated in lawn bowl tournament inaccidently. They cannot find anymore women to participate in this tournament, again, being 'saya yang menurut perintah', I joined. Luckily, it was such a memorable experience. With the experience of representing centres and programmes, I am proudly representing MARDI. ahaks!

Well, what to say. People can tell that we are novice only by looking at us delivering bowl. They slowly delivered the bowl, while us, hammering the green before the bowl went to its way. We, being realistic, never put any expectation. We just would like to have the experience, improved at every games and networking!

Of course we have theme song for the tournament,

"Wonderpet, wonderpet..kami tak besar dan kami tak kuat.."

Lawn bowl is never new in Malaysia, but I was introduced to lawn bowl since working in MARDI. The other team was quite established. They already know the green, the tricks and what not. So, kitorang lauk mewah diorang! Sonok diorang.

Well, nevertheless, we managed to make chaos for the semi final and final. Being the underdog team, surely people never expect us to win in our last game. We met FAMA, the defending champion for the last sports carnival. Well, kalo memang rezeki nak menang, menang jugak laa!

Managed to defeat the defending champion, what an achievement!

Even kakak-kakak abang FAMA pun terkejut. Kitorang, apatah lagi! Kitorang tak plan nak menang, we just would like to improve the scores. From 0, 3, 6 and finally 11. Alhamdulillah..by losing to underdog team, FAMA was not listed in the finals. Pity them! Sebab akak-akak FAMA memang baik, siap perturun kan ilmu lagi. Terima kasih eh kak!

Basically, I enjoy lawn bowl, it is a relax, focused and un-stress game. It is merely your strategy of putting your bowl as close as possible to the jack (marker). And, it is an unpredictable game. It is never an assurance that you can win all the time even you know how the green looks, the opponents, it is a mental game. Be focused and do not stress, just enjoy the game.

That is why it suits the veteran!

Kitorang ni tua sebelum usia kot?

The terms, "ada gelek, ada goyang" was the tagline that our triples team always used in order to motivate the bowlers. It was actually the description on how the bowl resides at the jack area. Kadang-kadang bowl tu gelek-gelek, goyang-goyang dulu before savely stop. *grin*

It was then followed by other team during the tournament. Rugi tak trademark kan the tagline!
